How would you navigate this situation? You don’t visit a mosque and the Muslim community feels slighted. You do visit a mosque and Fox News convinces a bunch of people you’re posing as a Christian but secretly want to destroy America from the inside with your radical fundamentalist agenda.

He better learn how to play well in the sandbox of politics sooner than later. If the press falls out of love with him he’s doomed.

I think you fire the aide that said the “tightly wrapped message” quote and then issue a very public apology to Muslims in America. Better to apologize to the community then to bend to the shitty rhetoric that is spewing out of media outlets like Fox News.
Whoever that aide is, they clearly don’t get it. Barack should feel free to visit mosques and invite women wearing hijabs to be clearly visible behind him on camera.
