I just finished work... was dirty and smelly and tried it on an attractive waitress at a pub and it worked beautifully. We are going on our third date tonight.

Funny, this sounds a bit like my line...

I got 2 waitresses numbers 2 nights ago, and it's not hard... One of them may be the hottest girl I've ever picked up.

I said, "Hey, can I ask you something? You probably get asked this all the time, by pretty much every guy that walks in here, but I'm still going to say it anyways.... (Long pause) How would you design a spice rack for a blind person?"

She laughs, we chat for a second (she decided braille would work, I think it's too time consuming to touch every jar) and then I follow up with:

"Ok, I have one more, but you kinda have to play along with this one.... (Pause) Can I have your number?"

She said yes, but if she would've said no (the most commonly heard answer i've heard is "I have a boyfriend"), I say "I have a math test." This gets alot of strange looks and a lot of "What?" or "Huh?" responses (One girl even said, "Oh, so your comeback is to say something that makes absolutely no sense?")...

I then say "Oh, I thought we were just naming things we were planning to cheat on later."

Even when you strike out, you get a good laugh (a real one), and there's nothing too awkward or creepy about it...

WORKED... I'm a truck driver. A waitress at a truck stop caught my eye and we started talking. I left secreting not having the courage to get her number. So a few days later I passed through and stopped for breakfast and felt she was flurrting a bit more than just hoping for a nice tip. So I prolonged my breakfast to get the courage. And before leaving said "I know you get truckers hitting on you all day so I'm not going to but I think you're great and want to call you." She said of course and wrote down her number. A little concerned about it being real I got in my truck and left. I text just a simple smiley face to the number and got back "hey how was your breakfast? "She been talking since and she is amazing.

She might think you are uninterested if you go at it like that. Anyway, how did it go?

So, I went to a Flat Top Grill. My waitress was cute and we seemed to have a little bit of chemistry. So I went in a second time (at the same time next week so I knew she would be working). I played the nice guy routine, and I kept making conversation with her throughout my meal, then as I gave her the check back, I popped this line.

Worked like a charm. She said it was "classy". Bravo.

I notice that all waitresses seem to like "the nice guy." Think of their psychology for a second. They are around horny guys all shift who are making obvious attempts at hitting on her. If you go at it with a little bit of "class" I think that any guy could be successful, granted the waitress has at least a small attraction for the guy. TRUST ME, it's really easy to tell if she has this attraction or not. The main two signs are:

----->She's not scripted. Most waitresses have set lines that she will say to all customers, if shes saying more than those types of lines to you, she's probably interested.

----->She's more receptive to your comments/ actions and responds to them. She doesn't just blow them off and continue working. If she likes you at all, she will stick around a little more because you make the shift better for her.

Just be nice and have class and that will set you apart from 95% of the guys she encounters.

I'm a regular at the pub down the street, and the one waitress is especially more flirty than the others. I've kind of suspected she's into me for some time, but I always think 'naw, she just wants a tip.' I go there a couple nights a week, have one or two beers sometimes, always order food. I always have a book or a crossword. I've worn dirty work clothes and I've gone in cleaned up. Clean shaved or shaggy looking. If I'm not in her section, she comes over several times. This has been going on for 3 or 4 monthes.
Last night I went straight after work with a new guy who turns out is also regular there, but I usually go alone and sit at a table. My buddy I guess sits at the bar, so there we are and she comes over to flirt with me I guess. I went tonight by myself and sat in her section. Guy from work was there, came and sat at my table. I ate, talked to him for awhile, paid my bill and talked for a few more minutes. On my way out, I went over to her and told her I was leaving and she gave me a big hug. Outside the pub my buddy tells me the waitress is into me. I said no, she wants tips. He tells me no, she left her section and came to the bar to talk to me last night, flirts with me lots all because I don't hit on her. I come in, read the paper or whatever.
She's hot and exotic, and I'm sure she could have any guy she wants.
I think I'm on the right track, but don't want to blow it. I also remind myself that she is a waitress, paid to be nice.

Picking up a waitress is actually one of the easiest things you could do. The key is to not have a set plan like this article suggests. You have a person who is being paid to talk to you. You can talk about whatever you want for all but as long as you want. Just be yourself and most importantly be light and funny. Don't hit on her at all. Ask her questions about herself, this will show that you're interested. From here just let things progress naturally and if you feel like you're doing well and you're still interested after talking to her a bit then ask her if she wants to do something with you in the near future (it would be helpful to know a bit about what she likes to do at this point, but not a must). The worst thing you can do is have a plan.
